TWO goals in the space of 12 seconds in the final period, prove to be the undoing of the Basingstoke Bison, as they lost at league leaders the Telford Tigers 3-1.
In a very close game, the visitors scored the only goal of the first period, 19 seconds before the buzzer from captain Aaron Connolly assisted by Jan Jarabek and Rene Jarolin.
The home side tied the game with a powerplay strike from Milan Kolena, as Bison man of the match Declan Balmer sat in penalty box after receiving a holding the stick penalty.
As the period, came to a close the Herd lost their import defenceman Jarabek, after he was hit in the face by the puck.
The Tigers then won the game with two goals in the 48th minute, as first Phil Hill netted followed by Kolena's second.
The Bison tried to get themselves back into the game and pulled their netminder in the final minute, but were unable to find a way past Telford man of the match Sam Gospel.
The Herd's next game is against the Swindon Wildcats at home on Saturday (6.30pm).
