PAUL Petts collected a massive 11-point haul as the Basingstoke under-18 Bison went goal crazy as they beat visiting Lee Valley 29-1.

The home side took just 53 seconds to open the scoring from Hallam Wilson and this was soon followed by strikes from Ben Clark and Jak Enticknap, assisted by Tom Applin.

Petts scored the first of his five goals and then Wesley Ridguard scored to make it 5-0 by 12:31.

The goals kept coming in the opening session as Connor Hutchison converted Chris Hocquigny’s pass, before George Gill and Wilson made it 8-0 at the first buzzer.

The home side took five minutes to add to their tally after the break, but then scored twice in the space of 20 seconds from Wilson and William Pratt.

Petts, Kyle Goddard and Louis Taylor moved the score to 13-0, before the visitors scored their lone strike past Alex Bowers.

The Herd added three more goals before the buzzer as Wilson netted his fifth of the contest, while Gill and Jordan Gillard also found the back of the net.

It took just 27 seconds of the final period for the scoreboard to start moving again as Petts scored and then Hutchison and Luke Coles netted eight seconds apart.

The Bison total reached 20 thanks to Ridguard as the goals came thick and fast with Goddard next to score and Hutchison netted a brace to take his game tally to four.

Goddard completed his hat-trick at 53:41 and Petts took the score to 25-1.

The Bison were still not finished as Josh Richards, Petts and Enticknap all scored.

It was left to Petts to complete the match scoring with his fifth goal of the game and, with six assists, he finished with 11 points.
