THE Basingstoke Bison finished their season by completing a tremendous treble, after they tamed the Telford Tigers in the final of the National Play-offs at Coventry last Sunday.

The Herd produced a superb performance in the league's finale to skate away to a 4-0 victory, this after beating Sheffield 3-1 the previous day in the semi-final.

This created club history as they enjoy their first triple winning season and man who masterminded this was head coach Doug Sheppard.

The Canadian was overjoyed to see his side stampede to the treble and said:"It has been an amazing season. I think it was a team effort and our fans were unbelievable. we competed hard all year and we left the best to last."

The triple winning team will be in action one last time, as they hit the ice on Saturday for Kurt Reynolds Testimonial Game which starts at 6.30pm at the Basingstoke Arena.

Tickets can be purchased on the door before the game and as well as the champions there will many former Bison players also playing.
