THE Basingstoke Bison will be out to make history his weekend and complete a terrific treble this season.

Last Sunday, the Herd added the South One play-off crown to their league title, and now travel to Coventry looking to win the national play-offs.

Standing in the way on Saturday night (5pm) is a clash with North One champions the Sheffield Steeldogs.

The Yorkshire side were beaten in North One play-offs by Telford who face the Peterborough in the first semi final which starts at 1pm.

The winners will then contest the final on Sunday at 4.30pm.

The Herd have injury doubts surrounding both Joe Baird and Grant Rounding.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Bison head coach Doug Sheppard said: "It is great to be with a chance of winning our third trophy and I am sure it is going to be an exciting weekend for both the fans and players.

"Coventry is a great occasion and we would love to win it, we have not seen Sheffield for a long time and I expect a tough game. We want to carry on from last weekend playing strong defence as we only conceded one goal in each game."
