OSCAR Evans scored twice as the Basingstoke Buffalo won a South Two thriller in Swindon Wildcats 3-2.
Evans had the visitors ahead with the only goal of the first period, assisted by Greg Martyn and Sam Brooks.
Defenceman Sam Dollin doubled the lead from Neil Leary and Blair Dubyk at 32:19.
Just 26 seconds into the final session Loris Taylor pulled one back for the Wildcats.
However, two minutes later Evans scored his second of night this time assisted by Martyn and Cam Buckle.
Swindon captain Taylor reduced the arrears to one goal with nine minutes left, but the Buffs were not to be denied the win.
The Buffalo are in home action on Saturday night (6.30pm) when the Cardiff Fire are the visitors.
