HALLAM Wilson and Kurt Reynolds scored their first Bison goals of the season, as the Herd enjoyed their ever visit to the Ice Arena Wales with a 12-2 victory over the Cardiff Fire.

The visitors took just 15 seconds to take the lead as Josh Smith scored and then Wilson netted at 4:07.

In the ninth minute, Dan Davies made it 3-0, before man of the match Tomas Karpov on the powerplay and Reynolds made it 5-0 at the first buzzer.

At this point the Fire swapped their netminders with Jordan Lawday, their hero the previous night, being replaced by Lewis Davies.

This did not stop the goal rush, as with Elliott Dewey in the sin bin, the Herd scored twice shorthanded, the first by Wilson and then Karpov.

Dan Scott and Ryan Sutton then moved the score to 9-0.

The Fire then opened their account from Michael Stratford and man of the match Jordan Powell scored a second within a minute.

Karpov completed his hat-trick, 14 seconds into the final period and then Aaron Connolly with a brace completed the scoring.

The Bison are now third in South One and entertain the fifth placed Milton Keynes Thunder on Saturday night (6.30pm).
