TOMAS Hiadlovsky recorded a 24 shot shut-out as the Basingstoke Bison extended their winning run to four games with a 3-0 victory in Sheffield.

This was the Slovak shot stopper's sixth league shut out for the Bison, which puts him level with Dean Skinns and Jon Baston and one behind club record holder Curtis Cruickshank.

The Herd were without Dan Lackey, Dan Scott and Joe Baird for this game, but still took the lead in the contest at 10:16, as Matt Towalski scored from Joe Miller and Grant Rounding.

The second session saw the Herd's Dan Davies and Ashley Calvert both pick up four minutes for fighting.

After this the Bison increased their advantage to 3-0, as Stuart Mogg converted a pass from Rene Jarolin and then Miller scored his first goal since returning from injury at 38:33 The victory now leaves the Herd one point behind third placed Peterborough Phantoms and both teams have two games left to play.

The Herd will face Swindon twice on the last weekend of the season, while the Phantoms face Guildford home and away starting with first game next Saturday.
