DAVE Collins scored the winning goal in his final game for the Basingstoke Buffalo, as they recorded their first win of the season, with a thrilling 4-3 victory over the visiting Wightlink Buccaneers.
The home side, backed by One Space Services, took the lead at 18:11 after Connor Hutchinson scored assisted by Paul Petts.
The Isle of Wight side equalised from Richard Nembland, but two minutes later the Buffalo made it 2-1, as Warren Jones netted from Petts and Greg Martyn.
By the end of the second period, the sides had swapped more goals with Ricky Attrill scoring for the Buccs and Andy Pickles made it 3-2 for the home side.
Just three minutes into the final period, Joe Osborne tied the game again.
Then in the final three minutes of the contest, Wightlink's man of the match netminder Aaron Craft, was then beaten by the Buffalo's man of the match Collins for the winner.
The Buffalo's next home game is against the Swindon Wildcats on Sunday December 11.
