EMILY Harris turned in a five star performance, as she netted five times as the Basingstoke under-15 Bison beat visiting Cardiff 9-2.

It was the Welsh side who scored first, but 25 seconds later William Birch scored his first of his hat-trick assisted by Oliver Reeves.

Harris then netted twice in the space of 30 seconds, from Charlie Wedge and Oliver Bower, to make it 3-1 at the first break.

The second session, saw Birch net the only goal and then just 41 seconds into the final period he completed his hat-trick.

Harris shorthanded completed her treble and then scored twice more to take the score to 8-1 as Harrison Wynn picked up a brace of helpers and Thomas Banner also got an assist.

Cardiff scored their second goal of the contest, before Cain Russell wrapped the scoring from Sam Hemming-Maher.

The under-18 Bison were denied victory at Guildford, as the Surrey side scored the game tying goal 15 seconds from time.

Guildford opened the scoring, before three goals in 63 seconds gave the Herd a 3-1 lead.

Christian Han scored the first assisted by Cameron Buckle and then James Newman and Han both netted.

The home side hit back to tie things at 3-3 at the first break.

Oscar Evans, who finished with 1+3, then netted on the powerplay, before Newman made it 5-3 at 40:52.

Guildford pulled a goal back at 48:09 and then levelled things in the final seconds at 59:45.

The under-20 Bison made the long trip to Sheffield Scimitars and were narrowly beaten 5-3.

They got off to great start when Connor Hutchison opened the scoring after 13 seconds and despite an equaliser, he had the Herd ahead by the end of the second session.

The home side then scored three times in the first four minutes of the final period to lead 4-2.

Paul Petts narrowed the advantage assisted by Kyle Goddard, but Sheffield scored a fifth to make sure of the win.
