THE Basingstoke Bison made it four wins on the trot with a 3-1 victory at the Hive over local rivals the Bracknell Bees.

As the in the previous night's game against Hull, the Herd dominated the first 20 minutes, but it remained scoreless.

The only major incident was an injury to Bison import Rene Jarolin, after he was hit by a shot from team mate Stuart Mogg.

The game was effectively won in the second session, as the Bison scored three goals without reply.

The Herd doubled the advantage on the powerplay, as Shaun Thompson tipped in a shot from Bison man of the match Jan Jarabek.

With two minutes left in the period, Tomas Karpov made it 3-0 with a individual strike as Bees' man of the match Alex Mettam was beaten for a third time.

The final period saw the contest boil over a couple of times, as Bees James Galazzi and Declan Balmer earned four minutes for fighting and Bracknell's Scott Spearing and Derek Roehl also clashed earning each a four minute rest.

With 61 seconds left in the contest, Bees' captain Matt Foord took and hooking penalty and despite being shorthanded Bracknell broke Tomas Hiadlovsky's shut-out with 23 seconds left in the game.

Hiadlovsky lost the puck behind his own net and this allowed Luka Basic to tap into the empty net.
