THE Basingstoke under-15 Bison became the second Herd team this season to win a league crown, after they won at Haringey 5-0 to finish top of South Two.

The visitors never looked back after William Birch converted a pass from Oliver Reeves.

Matthew West doubled the advantage as he scored assisted by Samuel Stephens and Oliver Bower.

The middle session saw two more goals as Birch netted again and then Andre Norris scored from Cain Russell and Travis Penny.

It was left to Penny completed the 5-0 victory and Sam Childs collected the young Herd’s shut-out.

The previous week, Birch scored four times as the under-15 Bison beat visiting Bracknell 7-3.

Birch opened the home side’s account and West doubled their lead.

The young Herd made it 3-0 from Andre Norris and then Birch completed his hat-trick to make it 5-0 with Andre and Ciaran Norris picking up the assists.West and Birch completed the scoring.
