WILLIAM Birch scored four times as South Two leaders the Basingstoke under-15 Bison extended their lead at the top to 11 points as they beat local rivals Bracknell 7-3.

Birch scored the opener and then Matthew West doubled the advantage assisted by Oliver Bower.

The young Herd then made it 5-0, as Andre Norris scored and then assisted on two Birch strikes, which also saw a helper for Ciaran Norris.

The visitors then opened their account and shared the final session 2-2, as West with his second and Birch with his fourth completed the scoring.

The under-20 Bison recorded a 6-0 win at Cardiff, as Paul Petts had a hand in four of the goals and Hallam Wilson bagged a hat-trick.

The other goals in the game were scored by Sam Brooks, Christian Han and Loris Taylor, while there were assists for Jak Enticknap, Cameron Buckle, Charlie West and Connor Hutchison. Jordan Lawday enjoyed a 26 shot shut-out.

The under-13 Bison lost a thriller 3-2 in Chelmsford, as Harrison Wynn twice levelled for the visitors, his second goal being assisted by Travis Penny.

Jodie Attrill scored four times as Basingstoke Bison Ladies beat the visiting Peterborough Penguins 6-0, Attrill scored a straight hat-trick with assists from Aniko Gaal and Kay Carrington-Fisher.

Gaal added goal number four, and then in the final period Peri Edmiston scored assisted by netminder Katherine Robinson, who recorded the shut-out. The goal scorer then turned provider for the final goal netted by Attrill.
