THE Basingstoke under-15 Bison moved 11 points clear of South Two after 7-0 win over Isle of Wight. Oliver Bower scored the only goal of the first period from Thomas Banner.

The middle session saw three more goals as Alexander Burns scored from Andre Norris (one of three helpers).

William Birch made it 3-0 and then Samuel Stephens added goal four.

The last period saw another three goals as Lucas Swierc scored twice and Matthew West wrapped up the scoring.

Sam Childs recorded the Herd’s shut-out.

The under-11 Bison enjoyed a high scoring 11-8 win at Oxford. The first period ended 2-2 after Freddie Stephens opened the scoring assisted by Simon Johnson and Oliver Hemming-Maher netted the other from James Bryan.

The second session saw the young Herd win it 6-3 as they scored five times in three minutes.

Stephens started the goal rush followed by a strike from Patrick Wilson assisted by Harry Tempest. Henry Emery netted the Bison’s fifth goal from Jude Affleck and Hemming-Maher, Emery and James Bryan completed the period scoring. The final session saw three more goals for the under-11s as Hemming-Maher, Simon Johnson and Jessica Banner all scored.
