HOT-SHOT Hallam Wilson scored seven goals in two games over the weekend as he helped the Basingstoke Buffalo and the under-20 Bison to victories over the weekend.

The Buffalo enjoyed their biggest win of the season as they beat the Wightlink Tigers 18-2.

The home side scored four unanswered goals in the opening period, with man of the match Hallam Wilson getting his first of four for the game in the sixth minute.

Further strikes from Warren Jones, Michael Gorman and Greg Martyn put the Buffalo firmly in control.

The middle session saw Ryan Sutton and Wilson take the score to 6-0, before the Tigers opened their account.

The Buffalo added another from Martyn, before Wightlink scored again, which proved to be their final goal of the contest.

The home side added a shorthanded strike from Sutton and then Daniel Lackey scored assisted by Sam Compton.

Wilson completed his hat-trick at 36:24, before Lackey took the score to 11-2, as Connor Hutchison picked up one of his two helpers in the game.

The final 20 minutes saw seven more goals for the home side, the first coming after 62 seconds as Martyn as he completed his hat-trick.

Ashley Skinns was next to get on the scoreline, followed by Wilson, Paul Petts and Lackey's hat-trick strike.

It was left to Skinns and Jones to complete the scoring.

The Buffalo are in action again on Sunday (6.30pm) when they entertain the Lee Valley Lions.

The following day the under-20 Bison enjoyed an excellent 7-2 victory over the visiting Cardiff Devils.

Liam Coleman scored the only goal of the first period and then the same player doubled the advantage shorthanded at 27:39.

Four minutes later, Wilson netted and then Jack Reddin ended a nice move involving George Gill and Liam Poulson to make it 4-0.

The lead was further extended thanks to another shorthanded strike this time from Wilson, assisted by Jordan Gillard.

The second session saw Cardiff open their account as they beat man of the match Jordan Lawday at 44:32.

Two minutes later, Petts scored for the Herd, before the sides swapped shorthanded markers with Wilson scoring for the Bison.
