IN RECENT weeks we’ve been looking for consistency in our game. We’ve picked up seven out of eight points and have played our best back-to-back weekends of the season.

We’ve also realised we need to cut down on the number of penalties we’re taking Games against Manchester always produce high quality hockey.

They have several high end imports who have been scoring freely so giving up only one goal against them is a measure of how well we defended.

We continued to create scoring chances, and it was great to see all three lines scoring as we ran out winners. So our unbeaten home run continues, to the delight of our fans.

Our goals against Manchester were all even-handed. In our away game on Sunday against Swindon, they scored three of their goals on the power play.

Our penalty kill has been excellent all season, but it was only a matter of time that these penalties would cost us. Our best penalty killer has been our goaltender but he had no chance against any of the goals.

We scored a late goal and took the game to overtime, earning our third point of the weekend.

We’ll be looking to remain unbeaten at home next week, as Sheffield visit us for the first time this season.

There are a handful of cup games coming up, as the EPL Cup enters its final stages.

This will be the first piece of silverware to be played for, but we’ll just keep working hard to improve.

See you all Saturday.
