THE Basingstoke under-15 Bison enjoyed a great start to their season as they won 8-1 at the Swindon Lions team.

The young Herd team gave debuts to Bradley Poole, Alfie Webb, Ciaran Norris and Lucas Swierc.

William Birch led the scoring with a hat-trick, while Poole and Oliver Bower both netted braces and Adam Castles netted one. There were also assists for Oliver Reeves, Sam Stephens and Emily Harris.

The under-13 Bison enjoyed a thrilling 5-4 victory at Invicta as Cain Russell helped himself to hat-trick, which included the first two goals for the Herd, the second being assisted by Harry Brewer and Adam Hughes.

Travis Penny and Harry Brooks also scored and Charlie Wedge picked up two assists.

The brand new under-20 Bison started with a 6-2 win over Guildford.

Hallam Wilson and Paul Petts both scored twice, while their were single strikes for Josh Richards and Sam Brooks.

Man-of-the-match Kyle Goddard, Jordan Gillard, Connor Hutchinson all picked up assists.

The under-18 Bison drew 6-6 at Peterborough, as Richards bagged a brace and there were single goals for Goddard, George Gill, Brooks and Cameron Buckle. Elliot Sherwood and Mac Howlett collecting assists.

The following night, the under-18 Bison lost at home to Guildford 5-2 as Richards and Gill netted and Hutchinson and Howlet got assists. Christian Han was the Bison man-of-the-match.
