THE Basingstoke Bison have made a triple re-signing with Aaron Connolly, Stuart Mogg and Grant Rounding all back for the Herd this season.

Connolly will also be the Bison’s captain taking over from Nicky Chinn, who has joined the Streatham Redskins.

It is not the first time the 22-year-old has wore a C on his shirt as he was captain of Great Britain under-20s and is an excellent choice to be the Herd’s new skipper.

The Kent-born player started his career in Invicta and joined the Bison from Slough in the summer of 2013.

He was part of the Herd’s double winning side when he scored 20 goals and he did the same again last season, when he also won picked up the Player of the Year trophy from the Bison supporters.

He adds even more firepower to the forward line as does Rounding, who returns for a second season with the Herd.

Despite suffering an injury ravaged campaign the forward who is based in the town still returned 20 points from 37 games.

Basingstoke-born Mogg is back for a fourth season with the Bison and like Connolly was a double winner with the Herd.

Last year, the forward moved to the blue line, where he proved to be a natural.

The 20-year-old brings the Bison’s defensive core up to five and for the past two seasons, he has won the Most Improved Player award.
