TOP of The Town restaurant Zizzi has dished up a link-up with Basingstoke Bison for the coming season, which will benefit both the team and fans of the town’s ice hockey team.

In a sponsorship deal with the club, Zizzi have their name on the shirts and will provide the prize for the popular Chuck-a- Puck, with a three-course meal for four and a bottle of wine for the winners.

They are also offering every season ticket holder and match ticket holder the chance to dine at the restaurant, with 20 per cent taken off their bill for up to six people.

Bison boss Doug Sheppard said: “We are delighted to welcome Zizzi as one of our new sponsors this season.

“I know the food there is excellent and some of the players have already enjoyed an evening at the restaurant.”

Zizzi general manager Tim Marlow said: “We are really pleased to be involved with the Bison and getting involved with the community.

“I enjoy the sport and was looking to sponsor a sports team this year, so the Bison was the ideal fit.

“By offering a discount to everyone that attends the games we hope they will come and try out the restaurant, if they have not already.”

He added: “I am looking forward to getting down to a game and I was gutted I did not go last Saturday.

The staff who did go certainly enjoyed it.”
