BASINGSTOKE Bison new sponsors Berry Bros & Rudd will be hoping to toast more success for the Herd this season after they linked up with the Town’s ice hockey team.
The fine wine and spirit merchants, located at Hamilton Close, Houndmills, will be giving the prizes to the Bison’s new tweet competition for the fans.
A bottle of wine is up for grabs for the best of the week with a case of wine for the overall winner.
The company will also be supplying the wine for the sponsors’ corporate box at the Basingstoke Arena on Bison match night.
Bison player/coach Doug Sheppard is delighted with the new link-up and said: “They are a great company with lot of history in the town and we are really pleased to have them as new sponsors this season.” Sam Chasey, of Berry Bros & Rudd, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Basingstoke Bison this season. Berry Bros & Rudd is a family business and although we have been in Basingstoke for almost 50 years now we would like to further integrate into the community.
“What better way to do this than by supporting our much-loved local ice hockey team.”
He added: “I wish the team every success this season.”
