BASINGSTOKE Bison are holding their shirt launch on Wednesday, August 6 at the Basingstoke Arena.

As well as unveiling the three jerseys the Herd will be wearing for this forthcoming season, there will also be more player signing and sponsorship news.

A bumper crowd is expected to pack into the arena bar for the evening, which starts at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm).

Once again, this season the Herd will wear white home shirts and black away shirts for league games and a red one for road cup games and the play-offs.

The red shirt certainly served the team well last season as they won both the EPL Cup and Play-Off crowns, wearing it in what was their 25th anniversary season.

For this campaign, the special logo from last season is replaced by the traditional round Bison logo and Bison player/coach Doug Sheppard is delighted with the new designs.

He said: “I am sure the fans will like the new shirts and as we had so much success with the red shirt we have decided to keep it for this season.

“A couple of players will be coming along and fans will be able to order their new shirts on the night. I look forward to seeing everyone there.”

The Basingstoke Bison Booster Club have also been working hard during the summer and will have plenty of new merchandise.

Supporters will be able to pre-order jerseys, which are expected to be ready for collection at the first match of the season.

Fans who sign up for full year in the 100 club which is £70, on the night will be entered into a special draw to win Joe Rand’s away own-and-loan jersey.

This will be presented to them by the Canadian forward at the end of the season.
