THIS should be an exciting month for everyone involved with Bison hockey.

We took maximum points last weekend to extend our unbeaten league run as we continue to pressure Manchester for the title.

Two midweek matches will decide the EPL Cup and then the play-offs begin.

The team is finding form at the right time. There is a great spirit among the players and a strong, collective will in every game to find a way to win.

We’re still competing hard with all three competitions in our sights. Slough may have few points in the league, but they battled all weekend against us.

They certainly haven’t thrown the towel in yet as they scrap for a play-off place.

To finish our home game, I put the fourth line of Danny Ingoldsby, Cam Wynn and Stuart Mogg on.

Just as they have done all season, they brought great energy to the ice and Stuart Mogg, having collected his first EPL goal the previous week, scored his first home goal just before the final buzzer.

You could tell from the players’ reaction on the bench how much they appreciate what these young players have brought to the team.

We showed great focus in both games, knowing how much everyone is looking for-ward to the Cup Final games.

Both Bison and Milton Keynes travelled to Coventry last night. It is to our opponents’ credit that they have overcome the lack of ice time in their own rink to qualify for the final.

We had several coach loads of supporters with us, to bring some of that Basingstoke atmosphere that has been such a part of our success this year.

Make sure you get your ticket for March 12 in good time!

All the best,

Doug
