Division Two

Cricket Club extended their lead at the top of division two by putting eight goals past AC Marstons with a hat-trick from Nathan Bennett, Jason Graham and Barney Powell braces and finished off with a strike by Ryan Vaughan. Smith got a consolation for AC Marstons. Basingstoke Bears Select held AFC Riverdene to a draw, Anthony Crown and Paul Birch netting for Bears and Paul Oliver and Simon Harrison replying. Republic of Chineham turned the screw with first half strikes by Wayne Finn and Jamie Robinson, but CES Rovers undid them with Nick Pearmine, Wayne Pool and John Richardson hitting the target.

Division Two

AC Marstons were knocked off the top of division two having missed a penalty and conceded two goals in each half., giving Fitness First a well-earned first taste of success in this division. Rob McKay opened the scoring and Russell Williams got two goals, his second from a spectacular scissor kick, and Dave Ratcliffe finished the match off with a close range tap in, Rob Still was the Fitness manager’s man of the match. Paul Oliver scored four goals as AFC Riverdene beat FC Popinjay 5-3. James Laughton added the fifth while Ben Searle from the spor, Lee Weller and James Connolly made a game of it for struggling Popinjay. Brad Ambrose scored and was Basingstoke Bears Select’s man of the match, although Lee Chambers, Chris Andrews and Gordon Birch’s penalty helped the Bears secure a win over APPH United; Tony Wilkinson and Dave Wildish scored in reply.
