Sainsbury Athletic got their revenge
3:56pm Wed 16 Apr 08
Lada tasted defeat for the first time in division four when Sainsbury Athletic got their revenge for the 1-7 John Ward Cup defeat six months ago; Peter Calder and Chris Holder set up the victory, while Louis Ely reduced the deficit. Second-place Kempshott LSC's season continues to unravel, turning up at AFC Kestrel without a full team and conceding the game without kicking a ball. Taran's hopes for promotion were also stunted, held at home by Brookvale Reserves as they haul themselves away from the relegation zone; Ricky Oliver hit a brace for Taran, Keiron Challis and Tom Barrington netting for 'Vale.

4:43pm Wed 2 Apr 08
Lada put seven past division four leaders Kempshott LSC. Dave Carter, Steve Farley, Dave Brewer and Giles Wayside netted for Bramley Inn as they beat Newfound Fox, Alan Davies pulling one back with a penalty. Taran scored six against AFC Kestrel, goals from Wes Bush, Ricky Oliver, Shane Curley, Darren Rose and two from Andrew Bennett. Luke Holder netted twice for Sainsbury Athletic, but Brookvale Reserves won the match with goals from Paul Crowe, Kieron Challis and Ali Mitchell. Meanwhile, veteran Tim Winter came on as substitute and put in a great performance for 'Vale.
