Berg hit nine

4:43pm Monday 7th January 2008

With division two leaders Overton having a day off, second-placed Berg enjoyed their biggest win of the season.

At Stratton Park, the Tadley side, bottom of the table without a win, took the lead in the first minute with a hard, low shot from Andrew Reed.

They then gave away three sloppy free-kicks and Berg cashed in.

James Hartwell put away the first. His second hit the bar and Robbie Stroud followed up to net. Then Simon Jane headed in the third, taken by Dan Szakal.

Superior fitness told in the second half when goals flowed from Shaun Smith (2), Jay Green, Alan Burt, Dan Hartwell and Joe Martin, his first-ever goal. The other Tadley goal was scored at 6-1 by Danny Nicholas.
