BASINGSTOKE RFC were unable to break their losing streak in London South West Two, as they lost 32-19 at Winchester.

In what was the first of three Hampshire derbies in the space of four games for the side.

Stoke scored their most points of the season so far, but the home side won the game and also collected the bonus point.

Basingstoke now have a week off, with next weekend being the World Cup final, before they face a visit from Cobham.

The Surrey side were the league leaders going into the weekend, but lost top spot to London Cornish, who beat them 29-6.
