First-timer wins Basingstoke Parkrun
FIRST-TIME runner Vincent Riviere won the latest edition of Basingstoke Parkrun.
Riviere clocked 17min 56sec for the 5km course around War Memorial Park to win the race, with James Wootton (Bath Triathlon Club) second in 18:12.
Phil Mant was third in 18:38, while Rebecca Willis of Hatch Warren Runners was the fastest lady in 21:08.
Parkrun is a free weekly timed 5km run that takes place in War Memorial Park on Saturday mornings. For more information, visit parkrun.org.uk/basingstoke.
