Basingstoke athletes selected for Hampshire
EIGHT members of Basingstoke and Mid Hants Athletic Club have been selected to represent Hampshire at the South of England Inter-County Cross Country Championships.
The event will take place in Oxford next Saturday, with three members of the Down Grange club, Maddie Deadman, Rebecca Poole and Rebecca Bullock, all selected to run in the under-15 girls race.
Gemma Bigg and Charlotte Chalwin will both race in the under-20 women’s event, while under-17s Lucy Wildash and James Beeks and under-13 Ben Pattison have also been selected.
Most of the runners will be in Hampshire Cross Country League action on Saturday, with Basingstoke and Mid Hants hosting the third match of the season at Popham Airfield.
