BASINGSTOKE and Mid Hants athlete Lucy Wildash made it a hat-trick of victories in the BUPA Junior Great South Run at the weekend.
The youngster completed the 2.5km course in 8min 37sec to beat Jasmine Cooper, who had travelled down from Derby to compete, by eight seconds. The win was Wildash’s third in a row at the event, which she has now won a total of five times.
There was more success for Basingstoke athletes in the senior 5km race, with Gemma Bigg the second woman home in 19:51, just ahead of Gemma Wildash, who finished third in 20:35.
