Basingstoke Bison return to top after win over Manchester Phoenix

THE Basingstoke Bison return to the top of the English Premier League as they knocked leaders Manchester Phoenix off the summit beating them 3-1.
Joe Rand netted the opener and then Doug Sheppard doubled the advantage before the first break.
Ciaran Long pulled a goal back for Manchester, before Sheppard's third made it 3-1 after 40 minutes.
In a tense final session, the Bison weathered an early Phoenix storm to skate away with with the points.
