THE BASINGSTOKE Bison suffered their first loss on home ice this season as they went down 2-0 to the visiting Swindon Wildcats on Wednesday night.
Basingstoke-born goalie Dean Skinns celebrated his birthday in great style with a 27 shot shut-out.
Swindon man-of-the-match Jonas Hoog scored both the goals the opener coming at 4:49 and the second at 33:57.
The game started an hour late due to the fact that no referees had been allocted for the game.
