Basingstoke Bison win at Manchester Phoenix

FOR the first time since 2001 the Basingstoke Bison opened their league campaign with two wins as they followed on success against Bracknell with a 2-1 victory in Manchester on Sunday night.
The visitors opened the scoring thanks to Greg Owen and it remained like that until the final period.
Manchester's Scott McKenzie then equalised only for the Bison's Joe Greener to grab the winner.
