ODIHAM'S Alex Danson scored the opening goal as Great Britain women beat New Zealand 3-1 on Friday afternoon in the Olympic bronze medal match.
The first goal for GB came from a penalty corner as the 28-year-old forward Danson deflected in a shot from Kate Walsh.
Further strikes from penaty corners for Crista Cullen and Sarah Thomas made it 3-0, before Neq Zealand scored a late consolation from Stacey Nicholson.
