A SUPERB maximum from Richard Mole helped St. Peters B to a 7-3 victory over Oakley A in the Basingstoke and District Table Tennis League division one.

St Peters A also enjoyed that winning feeling as they beat KG B 10-0 and Hannington 9-1 as Tony Brown secured Hannington only point as he beat Peter Matthews in five sets.

Minitec also won 10-0 although KG C’s Jared Binner and Matt Wilsons both took Gary Livingstone to five sets.

It was left to Pari Singh to save Queens blushes by beating Alpha’s Terry White in three straight sets in their 9-1 defeat.

KG A were very unfortunately to lose their match against Queens A 6-4, this was after they led 4-3, but Queens won the last three matches.

Division Two bottom side Portals drew 5-5 Queens Z as Steve Redstall’s consistency prevailed with a treble.

AWE A’s George Wilson had a shaky first two games against KG D’s Dave Partridge, but then warmed up to take the next three games.

From that point on Wilson was absolutely on fire and by the time the last match of the evening came around, against KG D’s usually unstoppable Josh Manson, Wilson was hitting everything in sight leaving the youngster reeling.

Wilson’s team mates Bob Harris and Paul Wallace each added one point to his three, giving the visitors a draw.

In a very low key match with excellent refreshments Queens D lost 7-3 to Minitec which saw Rocket man Tim Trebett firing missiles all night.

There were some very close five setters as Oakley B drew 5-5 with KG D.

Oakley’s Terri Allison had two very close five set matches against Dave Partridge and John Davey winning one and losing one.

Queens J’s Jan MacDonald and Reece Langley won two close games as they beat AWE B 8-2 in division three, while BHS narrowly beat KG E 6-4.
