IT WAS third time lucky for North Warnborough as after two recent cup exits they booked a place in the semi-finals of the North Hants Senior Cup.
This was thanks to a 4-2 triumph in Winchester against S&D as Andy Parker and Adam Nelson both netted braces.
The home side took the lead, but the visitors levelled by half-time.
A penalty after the break saw North Warnborough go 2-1 up only for the Winchester side to equalise, but two further goals from the visitors won the game.
Basingstoke Sports and Social also made the last four thanks to a 2-1 victory over Andover division one side Tritax.
Sports & Social dominated the opening half of the game and had to endure having two goals disallowed, leaving them still level at the break.
The visiting side continued to have the lion’s share of possession and it finally reaped its reward when the breakthrough came on 70 minutes through Daniel Grimes.
The advantage was doubled by Jamie Galpin 10 minutes later, before Tritax pulled a goal back to set up a tense finish.
