BASINGSTOKE RFC suffered defeat in their opening National Three London game of the season, going down 33-10 away at Staines.
‘Stoke were 6-3 down at the break, Andrew Humberstone kicking a penalty for the visitors, but the home side took control in the second half, running in three tries to go 28-3 ahead.
Basingstoke pulled a score back through Simon Appleby, with Humberstone converting, but the home side had the final say with their fourth try in the closing stages.
