TONY Redmond became the first Basingstoke player to make 400 league appearances on Saturday night – and he is not about to stop there.
The popular Scotsman received a great reception from the home fans, many of whom had watched him from his debut for the team back in 1992.
The Herd then ran out comfortable 5-1 winners over the visiting Peterborough Phantoms on Saturday night.
Talking after the game, the Bison fans’ favourite Redmond said: “It is great to reach this landmark, but I am not intending to stop playing just yet, it would be good to make 500 games.
“It was great night for me and I thank the fans for their support. It was then nice to go on and win the game.”
