TADLEY Calleva boss Craig Effer was left fuming after he saw his side draw 2-2 with visiting Fleet Spurs last Saturday.
It all centred around an incident just after the hour, when the visitors’ goalkeeper handled the ball 10 yards outside the area.
The linesman flagged for the offence, but the referee decided it was not deliberate and waved away the home players appeals, with Fleet going onto score.
Effer said: “I was pleased with the team’s performance, but not the performance of the referee. No one wants anyone sent-off, but that was a red card offence and he should have gone.
“I had no problem with our guy getting a red card. He kicked the ball away and was on a yellow card, but we should have played the end of the game with 10 men each.”
Tadley started the better as Peter White crashed the crossbar with a dipping volley from 30 yards and Kev Stuart forced a save.
The home side took the lead on 15 minutes, when Paul Rolfe sent over a delightful cross for Ashley Ledger to skip past one player and score.
Within another 10 minutes, White’s pin-point cross from the right was glanced home by Ledger for his second.
On the 33 minute mark, Andy Ramsden was sent off for kicking the ball away when already on a yellow card.
After the break, the visitors pushed forward, but a long ball down field saw White take up the chase.
Out charged the Fleet goalie and some 10 yards outside his area and handled the ball.
Play continued and Fleet scored and then equalised on 82 minutes.
