Champs have to put it all on the line

Sean Pickin will be fighting to retain the veterans’ title and Tony Palaczky his open singles cup when the Aldworth Science College host the Basingstoke Table Tennis League’s annual Closed Championship.

Entries are being invited for his year’s championship which takes place on March 20.

It is open to junior players by invitation and all senior players in the Basingstoke league.

The entry fee is £5 for adults and £3 for juniors and players can register for a range of events including open, division one and division two singles, open doubles, sub-veterans (under 40), veterans (over 40), super veterans (over 55) and handicap singles, as well as the just-for-fun mini-bat event.

Entry forms are available on the website basingstokett.co.uk and must be submitted by March 14.
