HOLDERS FC Censo scored five times in the first half to book their place in the Hampshire Junior A Cup final.

The Basingstoke side travelled to the Isle of Wight for a semi-final against Whitecroft and Barton Sports and ran out easy 5-0 winners.

John Arris headed in the opening goal on eight minutes from Barney Powell’s pull back.

Man-of-the-match Matt Bennett’s cross saw Arris head home to make it 2-0 after 29 minutes.

Bennett added a third with a 35-yard free-kick, before Arris completed his hat-trick with a volley from Nick Jupp.

Censo made it 5-0 two minutes before the break as Paul Worsfold picked up the rebound from a Bennett shot.

Censo's opponents in the final will be fellow north Hampshire outfit Headley Athletic, who won 2-1 away at Allbrook in their semi.

Headley took the lead on five minutes from Danny Peters after a superb through-ball from Robin Parkinson.

The visitors added a second two minutes before the break as Lee Wilkins’ free-kick found Andy Barfoot and he scooped the ball over the home goalkeeper.

Allbrook looked to have got back in the game when they scored on 52 minutes, but their long ball tactics did not trouble goalkeeper Andy Merritt or the Headley defence.
