THE BASINGSTOKE Bison suffered a 5-2 defeat in the first game of their double header, with the Slough Jets on Saturday night in Berkshire.
The home side won the opening session 2-0, as Billy Phillips and Blaz Emersic both hit the back of the net.
The second session got no better for the visitors as Peter Jasik and Emersic extended the lead, before Tom Long finally got the Herd on the scoreboard to make it 4-1.
Slough’s leading goal scorer Emersic completed his hat-trick with their fifth, before Bison's man-of-the-match Mindy Kieras wrapped up the scoring.
