THE BASINGSTOKE Bison’s path to their first ever appearance in the semi-final of the Challenge Cup, became a lot clearer on Wednesday night, after the Cardiff Devils beat the Hull Stingrays 1-0.
It leaves the Herd knowing that as long as they do not lose by more than two goals on Sunday night in Hull, they will book a final four place. Defeat by three or more goals will see Cardiff go through.
A Bison victory on Sunday, would see them win Group B and face Manchester Phoenix in the semi-finals, otherwise it is a match-up with the Belfast Giants.
See Monday’s Gazette for a report on Saturday’s Elite League encounter between Basingstoke and Hull, along with the latest news from the Bison camp.
