BASINGSTOKE and North Hants seconds cruised to a seven wicket win in the Southern League Division Three on Saturday.

Visiting Trojans won the toss and decided to bat and opener Nigel Le Bas hit a century in their 213 all out.

Chris Jolley (4-21) was the leading wicket taker, well supported by Rakitha Perera (3-58).

In a solid batting display from the home side openers Jolley (50) and Chris Froud (42) put on 79 for the first wicket.

After Scott Dyer and top scorer Matt Deadman (67) which include three sixes moved the core to 161-3, before Dyer was out. Deadman and Vinn then finished off the job.

Basingstoke seconds are on their travels on Saturday to champions elect Sparsholt.
