AFTER seeing his side start their home campaign with a 2-1 win over Beaconsfield, Basingstoke Town boss Jason Bristow wants more of the same on Saturday, when Poole Town are the visitors.

Tuesday's victory took the Dragons tally to four points from their first two games after a season opening 3-3 draw at Walton Casuals.

Bristow said: "I am delighted with our first win and we could have won but more. We expect Poole to be a tough test, but we have some exciting players at this club and I can't see why we should not be able to win on Saturday.

Skipper Charlie Kennedy, who missed Tuesday night is expected to be back from injury and Zidan Akers, who limped off at end of the Beaconsfield win was only suffering from cramp.

The Poole management team is former Town stars Tommy Killick and Taffy Richardson and they won 2-1 at Salisbury on Tuesday night, their first points of the season.

In Town's game against Beaconsfield, the visitors took the lead after 22 minutes from Louis Stead.

Sam Smart then levelled things with a deflected strike on the half hour.

Smart then won a penalty after he was tripped by Jordan Ajanlekoko, who was sent off. Smart from the spot saw his effort saved.

The home side had the better of the second half and a lovely ball from Sam Deadfield released Akers to score the winner after 54 minutes.
