THE village green at Hartley Wintney will be the place to be on Sunday afternoon for a big local derby Southern League T20 clash.
Basingstoke and North Hants are the visitors for a second round clash, which starts at 3pm, with Hartley looking to avenge a recent defeat in the Finch Group Guy Jewell Cup.
Both sides will be looking to join Hook and Newnham Basics in the last eight of the competition and thus take a step closer to a final at the Ageas Bowl. The Division One outfit booked their quarter-final place, by taking a Premier Division scalp Burridge.
Now Hartley will hope to do the same and build on an impressive nine wicket first round victory over Paultons. On that day, Matt Kerr (53) and Daniel Nightingale (41) shared an unbroken stand of 99 to secure the victory
The Bountymen also impressed in round one winning at Ventnor. However, of that winning side Ben Thane, Dan Belcher, Brad Neal, Joe Oates and Greg Donaldson are all missing on Sunday.
