HATCH Warren Phoenix FC have been chosen by Chelsea FC to be their grass-root partner club for North Hampshire.
They are one of only five clubs in the whole of the county to be picked foe this accolade from the Premiership club.
The other four are Braishfield Bees FC, Brockenhurst Youth FC, Crofton Saints FC and Winchester Youth FC.
This new partnership will see the Phoenix given guidance in a number of areas.
This includes committee advice, management, coaching, fundraising support, coaching quality assurances and support.
There is also the opportunity to attend two exclusive foundation training camps throughout the season.
Hatch Warren Phoenix chairman, Daren Bavister, said of the deal: “This association is a testament to the hard work and enthusiasm all of our wonderful volunteers have put in to create a club, where we can provide football education to local children in a safe and fun environment at the heart of our community here in Basingstoke.”
Hampshire football development officer John Dutton said: "It is our aim over the next 12 months to draw on the Foundation’s resources and contribute to the already fantastic provision that each club is providing to their local communities."
