This coming Sunday Adventure AS are on The Royal Berkshire Fishery, Camrose have yet to arrange a match, Kennet Osprey are at Gold Valley on the near bank of Syndicate Lake and not the Middle Lake as previously thought, whilst this Saturday sees Basingstoke Railway Club at Witherington Farm on the outer Snake Lake.

Basingstoke lost another of its anglers last Wednesday, when Gary Chawner sadly passed away after a long illness. Gary who was in his early sixties was a regular match angler locally, but of late had been fishing in the Kent area.

The funeral is taking place on July 2 at Basingstoke Crematorium at 11am. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

Catch me next week.
