CRICKET legends will be in action On Friday, when Odiham and Greywell host the world-famous Lashings XI.

The 25-over per side game which is free to watch starts at 3.30pm and will be used to help raise valuable funds for the club and its chosen charity, Battens Disease Family Association.

The Lashings XI are expected to be packed with well-known stars from the cricket world including Monty Panesar, Devon Malcolm, John Emburey, Wasim Jaffer and Gordon Greenidge to name but a few.

Commentary will be provided by Henry ‘Blowers’ Blofeld, Test Match special legend.

There is a full day of activities, with the Lashings players joining pupils from Lord Wandsworth College in a number of cricketing activities prior to being introduced to the hospitality attendees at noon.

The players will enjoy a special fund-raising lunch with auctions for many exciting prizes to help raise money for Odiham and Greywell Cricket Club and the Battens Disease Family Association.

Interval entertainment will be provided by the Odiham and Greywell CC All Stars (ages five to eight years old) doing some more on-field cricket activities with the Lashings legends.

A club bar will available from 1.30pm, so grab a picnic and deckchair and come and join the fun.
