CAPTAIN fantastic Darren Turner led by example as his Old Basing side came out on top beating Bournemouth II by 67 in the County Division Two clash.

Turner turned out an impressive 125 runs at number four before being bowled by Sarang Urankar (2-42). But his efforts were enough to give the host 251 for 8 advantage.

Old Basing’s bowlers made light work of the Bournemouth batting order with Gihan Mallawaarachchi (3-20) and Nick Willcock (3-42) taking the pick of the wickets.
