THE Basingstoke Bison Ladies captured the Women’s Division One South title last Sunday evening with an emphatic 15-0 victory against a short benched Peterborough Penguins side.

Captain Jodie Attrill scored after four minutes and Tanya Bone added a second four minutes later.

Aniko Gaal then scored a hat-trick in a devastating four minute spell by the Bison.

With shots raining down on the Peterborough netminder the home side still had time for one more goal before the break, thanks to fine finish from Hannah Byrom.

The Bison kept up the pressure in the second session with goals from Michaela Walker and Jodie Attrill to make it 8-0.

Even worse was to come for the Penguins in the final period as there were further goals, Byrom completed her hat-trick, Jodie Attrill bagged three more taking her tally for the evening to five and there were singles goals for Dee West and Jennie Agass.

The most valuable player award went to Michaela Walker and Geraldine Park recorded the shut-out.

Their final game of the season is tonight (Sunday), when they take on the Cardiff Comets face off is at 4.30pm.
