THE Ageas Bowl will host its first World Cup five matches next year.
England, South Africa, India, West Indies, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will all play at Hampshire’s home from June 5 – 24.
South Africa will take on the India in the first match on Wednesday June 5 and South Africa will play West Indies there on Monday, June 10.
England play the West Indies there on Friday June 14, before the venue hosts India v Afghanistan on Saturday June 22 and Bangladesh v Afghanistan on Monday, June 24.
It will be the first major tournament at West End since the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy The ground will be known as the ‘Hampshire Bowl’ during the tournament and will be one of 11 venues used, along with Lord’s, The Oval, Edgbaston, Old Trafford, Bristol County Ground, Cardiff Wales Stadium, The Riverside, Headingley, Trent Bridge, The County Ground and Taunton.
